  • The Belly Bandit: as seen in the times newspaper

    18 February 2009

A tummy wrap designed to help women to reclaim their pre-pregnancy bodies and provide support to the back. Its creator, Lori Caden, based it on the ancient practice of belly binding, used for centuries by Japanese and Hispanic women to restore tone to the midriff.

Leaving the maternity ward with a plump tummy can leave the happiest of new mums a bit depressed so if you're looking for a little help to control those curves the Belly Bandit could be just the thing.

Created especially for a woman's post pregnant body the Belly Bandit takes the long-established belly binding concept and makes it easy to do.
Belly Bandit is a breathable and comfy exclusively tailored belly wrap to help your body regain its former beauty and proportion after child birth. The smooth lightweight construction is designed for you to wear comfortably under all of your clothes and the tagless design won't irritate your skin.

Belly Bandit is NOT a girdle it should fit snugly with constant pressure on the belly but without any impact on breathing circulation or discomfort in your ribs.
You can start wearing your Belly Bandit the day after giving birth to help get your body back into shape but as always diet and exercise will play an integral part when trying to reach your your pre-pregnancy size.

    Which Size To Buy?
There is no exact science that fits all women but this guide should help.
    1. If you are buying early on in your pregnancy the best rule of thumb is to go up 1 to 2 band sizes from your pre-pregnancy size.
    2. In the eight month many women will be the same size as they will be post delivery. Measure the circumference of your waist starting at the belly button. Choose the corresponding band for your size.
    3. Just prior to delivery simply subtract 7-13cm (3-5 inches) from your waist measurement and choose the corresponding band for that size.
